  • Staff data: Information about your employees entered into BCT (names, roles, attendance, performance)
  • Financial data: Invoices, payroll records, and transaction data
  • Device data: IP address, browser type, device type for security purposes

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the BCT service
  • To process payments and send billing communications
  • To send product updates and support communications
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage & Security

  • All data is stored on enterprise-grade servers with encryption at rest and in transit
  • We use industry-standard security practices including regular backups
  • Staff passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • Payment card details are never stored on our servers - processed by Squad (PCI-compliant)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

  • Squad - Payment processing
  • Paystack/Flutterwave - Payout disbursement (Pro plan)
  • Email providers - For transactional emails
  • Law enforcement - Only when legally required

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

6. Data Retention

  • Active account data: retained for the duration of your subscription
  • Post-cancellation: data retained for 90 days then permanently deleted
  • Financial records: retained for 7 years as required by African tax law

7. Cookies

BCT uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

BCT is not intended for use by persons under 18 years of age.

We will notify you of significant changes via email and in-app notification with 30 days notice.
